Who’s dancing?

Liability waiver

I agree to the Liability Waiver & Media Release.

Acknowledgment of Risk and Waiver of Liability. I understand that participation in dance classes, rehearsals, and performances with Center Stage Dance Alliance (CSDA) involves physical activity and carries inherent risks, including but not limited to: slips, falls, collisions, abrasions, muscle strains, sprains, broken bones, or other injuries.

By typing my name at registration, I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my own participation and/or my child’s participation in any CSDA class, rehearsal, event, or production.

I hereby release, waive, and hold harmless CSDA, its instructors, staff, officers, and volunteers from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising from ordinary negligence resulting in personal injury, illness, or property damage, whether occurring during classes, rehearsals, events, or productions.

Media Release (Photo & Video Consent). I grant CSDA permission to photograph, record, and use images or videos of myself and/or my child in connection with CSDA events, classes, or productions.

About this class

Ballet I is the perfect way to introduce your little one to the world of dance. Foundational ballet steps, cooperation within a group, gross motor skills, rhythm, and creative movement will be explored.

Led by experienced and caring instructors, your child will develop a love for dance while building confidence and improving their coordination. With regular attendance, self-discipline and creativity will be fostered as your child continues to progress in their learning.

Ballet I can give your child a strong foundation in ballet while providing them with a fun and supportive environment to grow.

Kassidy Wilson

Ballet

Kassidy Wilson started her dance journey at Island Dance Academy studying primarily classical ballet, tap, and jazz since 2005 and has taught various levels of ballet, including pointe classes, since 2019. She joined Center Stage as a student in 2021 and expanded her performance repertoire with the styles of contemporary, hip hop, and breaking. Kassidy has performed and choreographed under various companies including Center Stage, Island Dance Academy, University of Hawai'i at Hilo, HEART, Hilo Community Players, and Mālama Arts Productions.

Before class

What to wear & bring.

Attire Class leotard color is PINK and will be incorporated into the costume for the performace. Class attire is ballet slippers, leotard and skirt (tights are optional). Please tie hair back into bun if possible. You may purchase ballet slippers and attire at the studio. Dance attire can also be found at Target and Walmart in Hilo, as well as online.

Arrival Sign in at the front desk with first and last name. Enter the dance floor with clean shoes or bare feet.

Floor policy Only clean dance shoes or bare feet on the floor. No zippers or metal hardware on clothing.

Bring A filled water bottle.

Observers ‘Ohana welcome to watch — please keep it to 1–2 people per dancer and conversations quiet.

Cancellation policy

Can’t make it to class?

Summer session Fill out the class credit request form and submit before the end of the day of the missed class to request a credit for another class. Processing fees may apply for refunds.

Spring & Fall Email info@centerstagehilo.com to inquire about makeup classes — up to two makeup classes per session, available on a limited basis. No refunds or credits once a session starts. Processing fees may apply for refunds.
